Description
Made with 50% Nero d’Avola and 50% Syrah, the 2017 Sicilia Rosé (packaged in a screwcap bottle) opens to a pale pink color that recalls the wines of Provence in the South of France. But we are in Sicily (and in a hot vintage), so compared to a Côtes de Provence, this expression is saltier (thanks to those island sea breezes) and less fruit-intensive. It also has cassis and dried raspberry. The results are fresh, zesty and fine. Wine Advocate 87 (2017)
