Description

The 2022 Fleurie Clos Vernay, from a terroir of pink granite and quartz, is open on the nose with notes of candied pomegranate, blueberry, violets, sweet pea blossoms and dried ginger. The palate mirrors these same aromas with a velvety concentration, lifted and texturized with fine-grained tannins. Aged for 15 months in 228- and 350-liter barrels, this medium to full-bodied wine still holds a tensile demeanor, suggesting potential for further aging over the next few years.Wine Advocate 92
