La Providence 2010

Description

Tasted at the offices of Ets J-P Moueix, the Providence has a very well defined bouquet that offers ripe red berry fruit: raspberry, kirsch, dark plum and a touch of graphite. It takes time to open, but it is worth the wait. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe, succulent tannins. This Providence is one Pomerol that actually reminds me of the 2009 in terms of generosity. There is superb ripeness and focus on the finish, although the acidity cancels that out to leave it finely poised. This has great potential. Tasted November 2012. Wine Advocate 93
