The 2017 Metis Sauvignon Blanc has a focus on the nose that is undeniably Sauvignon Blanc with soft grapefruit and citrus tones, a strong mineral edge and focused green fruit aromas. The citrus core is evident but the mineral structure and the textural weight on the mid-palate are really thought provoking. The long finish is clean, fresh and lively with crisp acidity, good structure and texturally, this feels like it is halfway to Sancerre with its mineral tension.
