Description

Cuvée PR 90-18: The Domaine Henri Giraud’s World Line At Domaine Henri Giraud, the Perpetual Reserve, undoubtedly the oldest in Champagne, has been the family’s most carefully preserved heirloom for many generations. Most of all, it has become a reference since it embodies all the values that we hold most dear. It symbolizes well-being, energy, and the source of rejuvenation. This perpetual reserve, handed down from generation to generation, represents both a secret and a legacy for the Giraud family. From the beginning of the 1980s onwards, this treasure has been enriched by the passage in small barrels, and this practice was definitively adopted in 1990.

The Champagne is a blend of 1/3 Grand Cru reserve wine from the solera started in 1990, and that is designated for Giraud’s MV Fût de Chène. The other 2/3 would be from an older “Esprit Nature” solera dating to the 1950s. For the first perpetual reserve, the most recent contribution to the older solera was the 2019 vintage, hence the numeric ID “90-19” to represent the time stamp. PR 90-19 is a blend of 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay. 8000 bottles were produced for sale.
