Description

Found in 1991, which is a family property inherited by François Lumpp. The domaine owns Givry’s best 1er crus, where they are situated on the mid to upper level slopes of the rolling hillsides. Givry is one of the best but unsung red producing appellations in Côte Chalonnaise. It was believed that in 17th Century, King Henri IV loves Givry wines so much, and during that period, “le vin préféré du roi Henri IV” was printed on the wine labels, indicating Givry wines are preferred by King Henri IV.

Deep and complete, the 2019 Givry 1er Cru Clos du Cras Long offers up aromas of raspberries and cherries, complemented by hints of baking spices and licorice. Medium to full-bodied, lively and concentrated, it’s seamless and complete, concluding with a long, expansive finish. Wine Advocate 93 (2019)
