Making wines from old vines in Georgia is a rare and difficult project since during soviet times most older vines were ripped up and replaced so as to produce more grapes.
Okro’s Wine Zvari Rkatsiteli 2023 is a natural, amber-hued Georgian wine from Kakheti, fermented and aged in traditional qvevri (clay jars). It is known for a highly textured, savory profile featuring aromas of dried apricot and orange, with balanced acidity and a nutty finish, often produced using biodynamic methods.
